BNP to target West Midlands warns Local MEP at Coventry Against Racism Rally.

Coventry Liberal Democrat MEP Liz Lynne on Friday attended the cross party Coventry Against Racism Rally in the Central Sports Centre, Coventry.

Speaking after the event Liberal Democrat MEP Liz Lynne, who is standing again in forthcoming European elections on the 4th June said:

"We cannot allow the politics of hate to prevail. People of different cultures, races, religions, beliefs and backgrounds have made our region their home. It would be a catastrophe for all of us if the BNP win a West Midlands seat in the European Parliament. We must take this threat seriously.

"The BNP are targeting the West Midlands, which is a call to action for people to vote in this election.

We must oppose those who seek to divide our communities and create intolerance and violence against our neighbours."
